Homework 14 - Non-commercial Art

Workbook 33, Spring, page 137. Slightly asymmetrical balance, complementary color scheme with orange and blue. What drew me to this image: I love the bear. I love its posture, and its juxtaposition/contrast with the artist.

The Dividing of the Ways, by Grandma Moses, published in Grandma Moses An American Original, page 16. Asymmetrical balance (divided path, two houses to one side, one on the other) with cold color scheme. I love the winter holidays. I also like that it's a historic scene; a time before snow plows and cars.

Workbook 33, Spring, page 89. Asymmetrical balance; analogous color (orange and yellow) with black and white. I laughed when I first saw this image. It's fun, but I worry about what the zebra is looking for.
